The evening will be accompanied by live music from world-renowned bassist Rubem Farias, who was born in Salvador and now lives in Stockholm. He is an internationally established jazz instrumentalist who has toured with Dennis Chambers and collaborated with Gilberto Gil, Nils Landgren, Lill Lindfors, and others.
Joining Rubem are drummer Robert Ikiz, active with his drum project Ikiz Cabin Crew, and pianist Filip Ekestubbe – both with strong roots in the world of jazz. Ekestubbe has played and continues to play with artists such as Amanda Ginsburg, Peter Asplund and Bo “Bo-Kasper” Sundström, and has released two albums under his own name to date.
The trio invites you to a personal concert with modern jazz at its core – music that moves forward without haste, where groove and improvisation are allowed to grow freely and take center stage.
