Last updated: October 1, 2025
At Hagastrand , we Hagastrand as many people as possible, regardless of functional ability, to be able to use our website and access our information and services. This document describes how our website meets accessibility requirements, what shortcomings we are aware of, and how you can report accessibility issues.
Standards and legislation
- We strive to ensure that our website complies with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which forms the basis for the technical requirements in European standard EN 301 549.
- In Sweden, the Act on Accessibility for Certain Products and Services (which implements the EU Accessibility Directive) has been in force since June 28, 2025, for many websites and digital services.
- New or updated parts of the website are published with accessibility in mind.
How we test and ensure accessibility
- We perform automatic tests using tools that check code structure, contrast, alt texts, heading structure, keyboard navigation, and more.
- In addition to automated testing, manual testing is performed—for example, using screen readers and test subjects with various disabilities—to identify problems that are not detected automatically.
- The website is updated regularly and we are constantly working on improvements.
Known accessibility issues/exceptions
The following parts of the website are currently not fully accessible (but we are working to improve them):
- Some images or decorative graphics lack alt text or have generic alt text that does not describe the content.
- Sometimes color is used as the only visual indication (e.g., to highlight an active or selected element) without any additional indicators.
- Some form fields lack clear labels or error messages that are easily understood by screen readers.
- Some buttons, links, or focused elements (when navigating with the keyboard) may have a faint visible focus indicator.
- Embedded third-party components (e.g., maps, widgets, video players) may have limited compatibility with assistive technologies.
- In some cases, the contrast between text and background may fall below the recommended values.
- Documents/files that are older or created before a certain publication date may be exempt from full accessibility (in accordance with the exceptions in the legislation).
(We will update this list as we identify and address issues.)
Responsibility and exceptions
If certain content or functionality is unavailable due to technical or practical limitations, we will:
- Mark that the specific part is exempt or unavailable.
- Work on improvements and prioritize fixing such problems.
- If this would impose a disproportionate burden (within the meaning of the law), we may make exceptions in certain cases, but we strive to minimize such exceptions.

If you find something that is not accessible or have difficulty using any part of our website, please feel free to contact us:
